52-Week Challenge – Starting to Save this 2017

Normally when new year comes, people think about resolutions and new habits. There are three things that resolution lists always pertain to. These include diet, fitness and finances. I will talk about finances since this is one that most fail and realize at the end of the year that should have not been neglected. The best way to start is this month while the requirement is still low.

The saving methodology is called the 52-week challenge. You have to choose a certain constant amount that you would like to set aside but this increases every week as a multiple of the week for the year. For example, you can choose $5 and you will set aside $5 on the first week, $10 for the second, $15 for the third, $20 and so forth until the last week of the year. Looking at this, you will end up with $6,890 at the end of the year. This is already something you have to admit.

You can choose to increase or decrease the constant. Instead of $5, you can have $10 or higher. It depends on what is possible at your end. For a guide, you can check the table below for the $5 schedule.
